![]() Got to know another new place, Market Place. Hearing the name, I never thought that it would be a place for fine dining. If my colleague didn't recommend this place, I'd never find it coz it's so secluded! It's not hard to find.. but it's just, secluded.
![]() The food was good, the cod fish with wasabi mashed potato that I ordered was really fresh (top right)! The portion was really small but can't afford to order more as it'll dry up my wallet. I can't believe that I've not been fine dining for months! I always thought 7ate9 has similar menu (different price of course) with Souled Out since they're from the same owner but I was wrong. Had dinner there yesterday. The menu selection is very limited and the price for main course starts from RM30++. No doubt it has great ambience but too bad they've event there yesterday. So, it was a bit noisy. They even hired belly dancers to perform for the event, the same few belly dancers that performed at other places. Wonder if they're the only belly dancers around that can perform for public events! hahaha...
![]() Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to all muslim out there! It's always nice to have holidays in between the week :) Today, my elder sis brought us for brunch @ the Prince Hotel. We ordered the brunch set for 2, just enough for all of us since we're all small eater ;)
![]() The food was good and the monsters enjoyed it very much! ![]() At nite, chermaine had potluck @ her place and so I bought wrapped chicken to bring to her place. Eat again... we even had cheese cakes for dessert! The Coffee Bean party pack was good... ![]() Sinful day... ate so much... So, we had our cost center lunch yesterday @ Nippon Tei, which was initially planned to have buffet @ Shangri-la. I was so looking forward to having buffet at Shangri-la last saturday, but because some of the teamies couldn't make it, we've to change venue and date :(
![]() There wasn't much varieties in the menu and so I ordered the sashimi set served in a huge rattan tray. The first set in the menu :P RM45.. still within the budget! haha.. Best part of the lunch was the after-meal "entertainment" by our stp (si-thau-poh) on our way back to work. A very very embarassing moment for her when she went to a stranger and played with her hair! She thought she was one of our teamies, Joane! I was right behind her, feeling awkward when she walks up to the gal and played with her hair, but too late to stop her. Maybe that's the sukiyaki effect? Coz she had sukiyaki set :P The gal turned with an angry face and stp apologized umpteen times "OH! soli, soli, soli........" We burst out laughing... even after we reached the office... ![]() So, this is my nice dinner @ the Checkers. Yes, the porky place for the porky me. I just love this place as the food is good and the owner is nice and friendly! You'll feel warm and homely dining at this little cozy restaurant. With the rainy weather, it's just perfect to sit outside (not under the rain of course) enjoying my porky! 3 of us, ordered a starter, 2 porky main course and a pasta. *burp* so full that I felt like I had the whole pig! No doubt it was a satisfying meal ;) I just had one whole pint of Baskin Robbins ice-cream! They're having Merdeka promotion... 3 days with 31% discount! I never had so much ice-cream in a day! Me and my friend, each had 1 pint! The flavors I chose are not sorbet, not low fat nor low sugar! All pure ice-cream... I feel so-the-fat now! No doubt, it feels good to enjoy so much ice-cream in a barrel :)
![]() No Merdeka celebration for me this year. Just home early and rest early... I'm having flu and sorethroat. Hope the ice-cream won't contribute to my cough... hahaha! "eat first, die later" Went Neway karaoke with few colleagues yesterday. 6 of us, all squeezed into one Kenari. 3 guys sitting at the back and me, sandwiched between them. Terrible... that's the result when nobody with more spacious car wanna drive. I should have taken a picture of us squeezing at the back! Funny...
What's so nice about karaoke? To feel like a singer for a moment? :D Man I feel so lost at first coz EVERYONE's singing chinese songs... picked a whole long list of songs that I've not even heard before! When I start singing english or malay songs, hmmm.. I don't see the "umph" in them! hahaha.. so I guess I should just let them sing :P Can see that they just love karaoke... Today, I had buffet steamboat at The Train restaurant in Puchong with qline and yuefei. The restaurant is owned by yuefei's cousin (no free meal in case u wonder). They serve the steamboat items on a choo-choo train and the train will travel along the conveyer belt, just like a sushi bar! So cute.. I love the train! They've 7 types of soup base and I chose parsley with century egg soup base. Sounds weird? But tasted so much better than the tomyam and herbal soup base. I should try that soup base next time I do steamboat! Btw, we paid RM24 each for the buffet ;) ![]() After lunch we went to scout for new place to have our haircut. Funny coz we walked in to a few, including 2 korean salon to check out the price and also the place (focus on the hairstylist). Tho we don't plan to do anything fancy, but just wanna try out other salon coz I'm too lazy to go downtown KL to have my hair cut by my long time hairstylist Klement. We ended up in Monsoon-id. Luckily it wasn't too bad. Slightly cheaper too.. but I think I need a thinning scissors to thin my hair when they start to turn into bushes! Went down to chinatown this morning to get my beading stuff and also meili's stuff. Spent entire money in my wallet, leaving RM1 on the way back! So pathetic... but I'm excited to start beading, making accessories! Now that I've found the right shop to get beading stuff, I don't have to search around for 'em next time! YAY!!! A day at chinatown can be stressful.. too dusty, too many ppl, too many vehicles!! But that's the only place where I can get all my stuff... By late noon, I'm all worn out. Got home and rested a while before going out again to meet an old college mate that I've lost touch since my first year in college! On the way, the radio was playing all the late 90s songs... hmmm.. all the college memories came back to me. Damn, I feel old now! We went Bakerzin for the tapas... they're good... ![]() Next |
