I'm back from my short break to
Club Med, Cherating! I had a great time though it's a lil pricey for just 2-nite stay. Drove to Cherating on Friday morning and the journey took us 3.5 hrs, thanx to the new east-west highway. We managed to make our way in at 2pm as we can't go in anytime earlier unless we pay for the lunch, which costs RM150. Crazy!

Inside Club Med was nice. Lotsa monkeys (my "relatives") hanging around and we just have to be careful not to attract those monkeys or else will be like me, lost 2 bananas! The monkey stole the first banana during my breakfast. Thought of taking a banana back to my room but on my way back, the monkeys surrounded me, making some really fierce sound that I've to just throw my banana away before they start attacking me! #$@#!! GOs (Gracious Organisers) from all over the world were friendly. They're really paid to have fun there! It's hard to tell which country they're from. The people there thought I'm a Korean too.. haha.. can't Malaysian go Club Med Cherating??
I tried archery, bungy bounce, trapeze, pool exercise, pool games, dance, etc. Fun, fun, fun... I even get to play the drum with the Filipino band there. They sang mostly slow songs.. so I can handle the drum pretty well! haha.. Bungy bounce wasn't as scary as Trapeze but I got headache after that! I felt dizzy before I can do the somersault but I just don't wanna give up! So I forced myself and managed to do two somersaults. Sigh.. me weak. Headached the whole evening after that :( Can only try Trapeze the next day but it was much more exciting than bungy bounce.

Legs shaking while climbing up the ladder with Nickelback's Savin' Me playing in the background that sounded something like "I'm falling.. I'm falling..." and screamed all the way swinging from the platform. Too bad I couldn't curl my legs up on the bar! It was too tiring... I almost have to let go my hands after hanging there for some time! Great experience!

At nite, they'll have a theme and it's up to the guests if they wanna dress up according to the theme. The first nite was Oriental nite with belly dance and also some other great dance show. The second nite was Elegant nite with some comedies and dance. After the show, GOs will usually get everyone to the dance floor and start dancing ;)
Wanted to get a good tan but time was too short. I'm not even half burnt! Wasted... have to check out before noon yesterday. So we've to packed our stuff and check out before going for our last lunch there. Joined the pool dance for one last time before leaving though.. hehehe.. love it! Took pics with some GOs before we leave... it's sucha heartache to leave the village. Driving back to KL was tiring and sleepy! With the rain, I've to drive even slower... till I got bullied by a bus driver. Logged a complaint today! Hmph! Reached home around 7pm. Sooooo tired and slept till 10am this morning :D
Overall, Club Med is a fun place to be, provided you join ALL the activities there and go all out to have fun! Else, it's not worth paying so much...
