Merdeka! Merdeka!! Merdeka!!!

OK, I've lost my voice.. sorethroat getting worse. Coughing too (thanx to the one pint ice-cream). Now I sound like a man!! :( Think I'm having slight fever too.... aawwww...

After that one-pint ice-cream, I told myself that today I should go for lighter meals... but.. but.. but.. I end up @ Marmalade for HEAVY brunch! Sigh... I'm so hopeless... the breakfast was good! No pic though coz I'm afraid will scare u guys with that yummy breaky and the huge portion. I had Egg Benny.. poached egg, spinach, grilled mushroom, turkey ham, bread, salad, apple juice! Damn, I SHOULD HAVE VERY VERY LIGHT MEAL TOMORROW!!!

I just had one whole pint of Baskin Robbins ice-cream! They're having Merdeka promotion... 3 days with 31% discount! I never had so much ice-cream in a day! Me and my friend, each had 1 pint! The flavors I chose are not sorbet, not low fat nor low sugar! All pure ice-cream... I feel so-the-fat now! No doubt, it feels good to enjoy so much ice-cream in a barrel :)



No Merdeka celebration for me this year. Just home early and rest early... I'm having flu and sorethroat. Hope the ice-cream won't contribute to my cough... hahaha! "eat first, die later"

Went Neway karaoke with few colleagues yesterday. 6 of us, all squeezed into one Kenari. 3 guys sitting at the back and me, sandwiched between them. Terrible... that's the result when nobody with more spacious car wanna drive. I should have taken a picture of us squeezing at the back! Funny...

What's so nice about karaoke? To feel like a singer for a moment? :D Man I feel so lost at first coz EVERYONE's singing chinese songs... picked a whole long list of songs that I've not even heard before! When I start singing english or malay songs, hmmm.. I don't see the "umph" in them! hahaha.. so I guess I should just let them sing :P Can see that they just love karaoke...

Today, I had buffet steamboat at The Train restaurant in Puchong with qline and yuefei. The restaurant is owned by yuefei's cousin (no free meal in case u wonder). They serve the steamboat items on a choo-choo train and the train will travel along the conveyer belt, just like a sushi bar! So cute.. I love the train! They've 7 types of soup base and I chose parsley with century egg soup base. Sounds weird? But tasted so much better than the tomyam and herbal soup base. I should try that soup base next time I do steamboat! Btw, we paid RM24 each for the buffet ;)



After lunch we went to scout for new place to have our haircut. Funny coz we walked in to a few, including 2 korean salon to check out the price and also the place (focus on the hairstylist). Tho we don't plan to do anything fancy, but just wanna try out other salon coz I'm too lazy to go downtown KL to have my hair cut by my long time hairstylist Klement. We ended up in Monsoon-id. Luckily it wasn't too bad. Slightly cheaper too.. but I think I need a thinning scissors to thin my hair when they start to turn into bushes!

They're so like the monsters at home...

Went down to chinatown this morning to get my beading stuff and also meili's stuff. Spent entire money in my wallet, leaving RM1 on the way back! So pathetic... but I'm excited to start beading, making accessories! Now that I've found the right shop to get beading stuff, I don't have to search around for 'em next time! YAY!!!

A day at chinatown can be stressful.. too dusty, too many ppl, too many vehicles!! But that's the only place where I can get all my stuff... By late noon, I'm all worn out.

Got home and rested a while before going out again to meet an old college mate that I've lost touch since my first year in college! On the way, the radio was playing all the late 90s songs... hmmm.. all the college memories came back to me. Damn, I feel old now! We went Bakerzin for the tapas... they're good...

I saw my dad's car, driving in front of me. When I overtake him, I saw his face.. He looked pale, eyes closed and the face a bit swollen. He couldn't see me.. I'm just like seeing a corpse driving.. a sad dream..

Grabbed these two books from MPH last weekend with the voucher given by my mum. Too many books to choose from, all nicely wrapped. Since I'm too lazy to unwrap them, I just simple grab two that caught my eyes. Started with the first one yesterday.. quite a nice read :)

Last weekend started with hangover, leaving me like a dead crab for the entire saturday. So nothing much done. Sunday ended with a crappy dinner @ Delicious by Ms Read. Lousy lousy dinner... fren ordered a burger with uninvited guest (cockroach) crawling out.. I ordered noodle with staled cod fish. It tasted so-not-fresh and the soup is soooo salty! No doubt the cafe has very nice setting but the food suck big time! So.. my weekend was kinda lousy...

...from squirrel. Open the strainer to fit your cup, pour hot water and let it drip. Japanese can really come up with all kinds of stuff!

Finally get to meet up with omie yesterday. Should I buy lottery?? :P It's so hard to meet up with you leh! Always so busy... so glad that u spared 3 hours for me yesterday! Ya, 3 hours and you're making big hoo-haa about it! Anyway, thanx for the korean dinner! Nice korean restaurant leh?? hehehe.. *oops, sorry, I ter-disclosed ur face*



Today's dance class was really interesting. Though look easy but getting it right is really tough! omi (not you omie :P).. shimmy.. maya.. I have a tough time mastering them! One of the students can really dance very very well.. she can just look like jelly (or more like snake??) when she starts dancing! So smooth... and I just love my teacher! She's just.. one word, great! I'm so glad to have her as my teacher! Watched other belly dancers performed before and they're nowhere near the skills that she has!

The class is getting bigger. More and more people joining the advanced class, means less and less space to move around :( Hope it'll not grow anymore..

Just had another round of pork ribs, this time at The Checkers. The ribs taste better and the portion is bigger :P It's a very small restaurant located in a secluded area in Damansara Heights. Reservation is a must. Me and lyly were lucky to go early coz we didn't make any reservation. The owner asked if we could finish by 8:30pm or else we'll have to go some other place.



We ordered grilled calamari and porky's best. hmm.. I'm gonna turn into a porky pig if I were to have few more rounds of ribs :P

Since we've to leave the place early, we hopped over to Hot Chocolate.. few shops away from The Checkers to have nice hot chocolate! yummy...
